Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates for projects by gathering information and analyzing important metrics. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain good relationships with customers, vendors, and staff.
  • Walk projects to determine what needs to be repaired or replaced.
  • Formulate accurate estimates for customers using Salesforce.
  • Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
  • Confer with owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
  • Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
  • Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
  • Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
  • Order materials and create a schedule for the project.
  • Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.
  • Maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Establish and maintain tendering processes and conduct negotiations.
  • Manage projects from start to finish.
  • Ensure clear and strong written and oral communication throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes.
  • Experience using Salesforce for estimating and project management.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to walk projects and assess repair/replacement needs.
