About the Company:

Our client, a boutique CPA firm with a business management arm, is seeking a Full-charge Bookkeeper with the ability to work in their NYC office. Must have Quickbooks.

Your primary responsibilities would include, but not be limited to:

  • Full client accounting services and general ledger maintenance.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Preparation of bank deposits.
  • Monitoring cash flow.
  • Accounts payable management including recording invoices and processing payment.
  • Assist with vendor issues and discrepancies.
  • Accounts receivable management including invoicing customers and following up on outstanding balances due.
  • Client correspondence and communication.
  • Reporting to managers and partners.
  • Entering or importing weekly payroll entries.
  • Preparation of quarterly payroll tax returns.
  • Prepare supporting reports for worker’s compensation audit or other insurance audits.

Requirements:

  • Must have similar bookkeeping experience in professional services environment.
  • Must have commanding knowledge of QuickBooks.
  • Must be proficient in MS Excel.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication skills for interfacing with clients.
  • Ability to identify discrepancies and know how to correct them.
