Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. This position requires a professional with a strong understanding of financial reporting, bookkeeping, and account reconciliation. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. Your expertise in using Sage accounting software will be highly advantageous. You will be responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of month-end and quarterly financial reports. With your keen eye for detail and passion for numbers, you will be instrumental in driving our financial success.
Key Responsibilities1. Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
2. Verify that transactions are recorded correctly in the general ledger.
3. Bring the books to the trial balance stage.
4. Perform checks, reconciliations, and detailed quantitative data analysis of all transactions.
5. Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly financial reports.
6. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and accurate record keeping.
7. Utilize Sage accounting software for various accounting tasks and reporting.
8. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
9. Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes.
10. Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial processes and systems.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, preferably within the finance industry.
2. Proficient in bookkeeping software, particularly Sage.
3. Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
4. Proven ability to manage month-end and quarterly reporting processes.
5. Strong experience in account reconciliation.
6. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
7. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze figures.
9. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
11. High level of integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality of financial information.
