JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

This position provides the Service Technician function of the company. Proline, part of HPC Foodservice, specializes in the installation, maintenance, and service of dispensing and commercial kitchen equipment. This is a full-time, union position within Teamsters Local 671.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

The Proline Field Service Technician reports directly to the Proline General Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the repair, maintenance and support of commercial kitchen and laundry appliances.

• Promptly and professionally respond to service calls from our dispatch center.

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment as required.

• Accurately and professionally respond to questions from customers regarding equipment operation.

• Perform periodic audits, routine diagnostics, calibrations and/or preventative maintenance tasks following set schedules.

• Accurately and promptly report all maintenance activity and parts usage.

• Complete necessary paperwork, report on assigned work and assist in the completion of records, reports, and other documents.

• Troubleshoot equipment and analyze appropriate documents to determine cause of malfunctions in equipment.

• Other tasks as required or as directed by the Proline General Manager or Proline Office Manager.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma.

Experience: Three years of specific industry experience preferred.

Reasoning: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Must have basic English, writing, math, and computer skills.

Other: DOT Medical Card. Must have strong people skills to work with diverse customer base. Excellent capacity for dealing with internal/external customers. CFESA training a plus
