The Russellville Country Club is seeking a talented, responsible, results-oriented Kitchen
Manager/Sous Chef. This person will be expected to showcase exceptional culinary and
management skills as they lead our team of well-trained kitchen professionals. The Kitchen
Manager will work closely with the Executive Chef & General Manager to ensure our members
and their guests enjoy superior dining experiences. The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for
food preparation, inventory and labor control, hiring, training, and overall leadership of the back
of house staff. They will be responsible for ensuring that every dish is prepared consistently, in a
timely manner, and on par with the high expectations of Russellville Country Club.

Responsibilities:
● Hire, lead, mentor, and train kitchen staff to maintain high-quality food preparation,
presentation, and service.
● Manage food inventory, purchasing, and cost control while ensuring adherence to
budgetary guidelines.
● Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety within the kitchen and
food preparation areas.
● Collaborate with management and the Executive Chef to plan and execute special
events, catering, menu items, and member dining experiences
● Reviewing and evaluating all kitchen team members
● Ensuring upkeep and maintenance of all kitchen equipment

Qualifications:
● Preferred experience as a Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, or Kitchen Manager in a
high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting. Experience in a fine dining or casual plus
restaurant is highly preferred.
● Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred, but not mandatory;
relevant work experience will also be considered.
● Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
● Proficient in menu planning, food cost analysis, and inventory management.
● Knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and food safety standards.

Certifications/Licensure:
● ServeSafe Food Safety Certification
● Arkansas Food Handler Card
● ACF or CEC certification preferred
● High school diploma or GED

Expectations:
● Passion: Must be dependable, self-reliant, and passionate about good food and
exceptional customer service.
● Creativity: Ability to develop unique and appealing menus while accommodating diverse
tastes and dietary needs.
● Leadership: Inspire and lead the kitchen team by example, fostering a positive work
environment and ensuring consistent quality.
● Organization: Manage kitchen operations efficiently, overseeing food preparation,
ordering, and scheduling.
● Collaboration: Work closely with other department heads to coordinate events,
catering, and special dining experiences.
● Adherence to Standards: Uphold high-quality standards, cleanliness, and
compliance with health and safety regulations.
