Financial Manager (On-Site - Bethesda, MD)

 

Mistral is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will assist the CEO and the Controller in overseeing and managing the financial operations of our organization, including budget control, program pricing, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting, as well as exceptional Excel skills. A CPA certification is desired, and ERP experience is desired. Experience with Government contracting is helpful.

 

Key Responsibilities

· Manage financial analysis, planning & reporting for the Mistral Group.

· Manage and maintain the company’s yearly budget. Manage the budgeting process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data and projections.

· Develop and maintain pricing models for all Mistral Group Intellectual Property off-the-shelf items.

· Conduct regular financial analysis to identify areas of improvement and provide recommendations to the executive team.

· Review and approve pricing proposals for new programs and initiatives, ensuring profitability and alignment with strategic goals.

· Oversee financial data of manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.

· Provide financial oversight of contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

· Oversee all regulatory and insurance reporting requirements as well as any premium audits and facilitate annual insurance renewal.

· Compile and reconcile year-end 401k census data and ensure compliance with 401k regulations.

· Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement financial programs and initiatives that support the organization's strategic goals.

· Stay up-to-date with accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial trends that may impact the organization.

 

Ideally, the Financial Manager will have experience with:

· Certified Public Accountant designation, prior CPA firm experience preferred

· Work experience with Microsoft NAV

· US Government Contracting including Pricing, FAR, DFAR, and DCAA requirements.

· Manufacturing

· Managing and tracking budget expenses

· Large financial models

· High-growth companies

· International companies

· Prior senior accountant experience in manufacturing preferred.

· Knowledge of foreign exchange transactions and reporting preferred
