Controller – Hybrid in Montgomery County

About the Company and Opportunity:

  • Our client is a leader in the construction company located in Montgomery County looking to bring on a Controller due to a project.
  • This position is hybrid (3/4 days in, 1 out)
  • The leadership team is dedicated to employee success and loves to promote from within.
  • Duration: 2-3 months
  • Pay: $65-70/hr depending on experience.

Overview of the Controller role:

  • Responsible for overseeing and managing the accounting department.
  • General Ledger reconciliation, journal entries, and month-end close.
  • Financial reporting monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
  • Internal and external audit.
  • Ad hoc projects / reporting.

Preferred Qualifications for the Controller:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position
  • Construction experience is a plus
  • Sage 300 experience is a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills – pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s
