Job DescriptionJob Description

The Oglethorpe Club is seeking a Food and Beverage Catering Manager to lead all front-of-the-house food and beverage operations while fostering a culture of southern elegance, and excellence. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, visible, and engaging leader with an attention to detail and a true passion for hospitality and service along with a desire for professional growth.

The position is full-time, year round and offers a compensation package including a competitive base salary, broad benefits package in accordance with Club policies, and year-end bonus upon positive review. The position will allow the chosen candidate to further develop their leadership skills, acquire additional knowledge, and tobe a part of something very special.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Has a minimum of three years prior management experience as a Dining Room Manager or Food & Beverage Supervisor in a club, resort, or hotel and can demonstrate proficiency in fine dining, casual dining, banquets, catering and special events.
  • Strong knowledge of quality in all aspects of food and bar services, fine dining and catering events.
  • Has a work history that demonstrates progressively achieving greater responsibility in key positions.
  • Has evidence of good financial discipline and administrative skills as they relate to food and labor costs.
  • Must possess computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Publisher. Experience with the Jonas or other POS software system is a plus.
  • A strong and passionate leader with a proven track record of providing Private Club Premium-level services with a personality that is commensurately appropriate to The Oglethorpe Club membership.
  • A professional with a verifiable, positive career track, of loyalty and stability with evidence of strong
    management skills as they relate to attracting, training, managing and motivating a team; and is
    unblemished by inappropriate behavior of any sort that would be potentially detrimental or embarrassing to
    the membership of The Oglethorpe Club.
