I plan to sell my one-man technical company to a new owner/president to lead it into the future. This business is in RF test and measurement engineering field. My company designs, builds, and sells RF field strength measuring instruments. All products were designed and built in the USA. I have been in this business for 32 years and my company is one of the very few companies in the USA making such products. The company has no permanent employees - all work over the years and now is done by myself with the help of various contractors. PCB's are manufactured in Sarasota and Boston, and the final assembly, testing, and calibration is done by myself.
The company has some IP and a lot of know-how in the design of the unique RF test instruments.
All sales are performed through direct shipments and the worldwide network of distributors.
This is a perfect full-time - lifetime job for some engineer who got sick of a corporate environment and wants to run his own technical business.
I do all the work from my home in Sarasota, FL. You can do it all from anywhere in the USA
The sale of the company will include the initial sale and a transition period during which the know-how, equipment, and test setups will be developed/transferred to the buyer and I will educate him and transfer all relevant technical documentation. Also, I will transfer to the buyer all customer databases, so the buyer can start doing the yearly equipment calibrations (a substantial part of the business).
It is very possible that the buyer is not the one person and he will be willing to expand the business by hiring his own employees to do the work in the most efficient way.
Why I am selling? I am getting old and I want some new younger, energetic person to take over
The sale price, conditions of business transfer, timeline, and all other details are negotiable.
When a potential buyer is found, the company sale agreement will be written and all legal procedures will be taken care of in due time.
