SUMMARY:

NIGHT SHIFT: 5 pm to 5 am MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY AND EVERYOTHER THURSDAY....

Helpers are responsible for assisting press operator in the operation of the press. Press operator will advise how they are best assisted and may create additional tasks then those given. Helpers should show initiative and be able to work without supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

At the start of the shift check with press operator for any immediate needs.

Check press line up for cores, perf wheel/blades, plates, number machines and any other supplies or needs that will be required.

Setup paper rolls at back of press for current job, hang rolls as needed on KTI unit.

When presses are running cover for breaks if possible, make and label cartons as needed, other tasks as needed.

Keep press areas clean and organized. Remove finished goods from press line and deliver to appropriate department. Assist with changing full recycle bins. Refill solvent/chemistry bottles as necessary, empty rag bins.

Assist with cleaning of press and area, includes the bench, ink knives, used ink cans, return unused ink to shelf and removal of used plates. Clean wash up trays, mist hoods and ink drip trays.

Maintain a generally clean area, sweep up any debris on floor, and organize materials in use for production.

During the shift, continue to walk the press line to help and assist in keeping the presses running at all times.

Assist press operator with quality inspection during run of product, watch for quality and consistency throughout run. Removal of auto splices (Very important that customer does not receive any splices).

Assist press operator in clean-up, changing water, and size changeovers and delivery change overs.

Tasks other than what is listed may be assigned as needed

SUGGESTED SKILLS:

· Good mechanical aptitude.

· Understand and able to make appropriate adjustments.

· Understand gears and changes.

· Have “tool” knowledge.

· Understand light knowledge of computer.

· Read and understand job ticket.

· Mathematical skills required.

EXPECTED PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Standing: up to 12 hours depending on shift.

· Walking: up to 60 feet in length frequently during shift.

· Lifting: up to 60 pounds repetitively.

· Carrying: same as lifting.

· Climbing: rarely.

· Balancing: rarely.

· Bending; occasionally, can be controlled by worker.

· Twisting: can be controlled by worker.

· Crawling: rarely.

· Reaching: frequently.

· Use of hands: frequently.

· Key boarding: occasionally.

HOURS:

5 PM TO 5 AM MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY, AND THURSDAY EVERY OTHER WEEK.

PAY: $17.50/ HOUR
