Job DescriptionJob Description

Central is currently seeking a heavy equipment and fleet vehicle mechanic to join our team in Belgrade, MT. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of heavy equipment vehicles and company vehicles used in our excavation and construction projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance on a variety of heavy equipment vehicles, such as excavators, wheel loaders, dump trucks, as well as company fleet vehicles.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with heavy equipment and fleet vehicles to identify problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty parts on heavy equipment and fleet vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs performed on each heavy equipment vehicle and fleet vehicle.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class A CDL with air brakes and current Medical Card.
  • Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and vehicle maintenance manuals.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical issues in heavy equipment and fleet vehicles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and mechanical aptitude.
  • Certification or degree in Heavy Equipment Mechanics or a related field is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record is required.
  • Compliance with Central's Drug & Alcohol policy.
