Heavy Equipment Operator

As a Road Equipment Operator with Government Jobs, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing County roads and roadway features. Under the supervision of the Road Foreman, you will operate specialized heavy equipment and tools to ensure the smooth operation of our road network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment such as graders, rollers, and excavators to maintain and repair County roads and roadway features.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, and performing minor repairs.
- Assist in the construction of new roads and roadway features, including excavation, grading, and paving.
- Provide operational support to the Road, Bridge, and Junk Vehicle Department as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment and tools.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- May be required to work in confined spaces or at heights.
- May be exposed to hazardous materials and equipment.
