Job Title: General Maintenance Technician
Location: Dayton, Ohio
Compensation: $17.50 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

General Maintenance Technician Summary:
Pridestaff is seeking a skilled and reliable General Maintenance Technician to join our team and be placed with one of our esteemed clients in Dayton, Ohio. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient and effective operation of our client's facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned.
  • Work within established expense limits.
  • Maintain inventory controls for cost-effective operations.
  • Schedule and complete the “Preventative Maintenance Program.”
  • Coordinate special projects as directed by the Site Manager.
  • Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors.
  • Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned.
  • Alert the Site Manager of any unusual occurrences and/or damage within the plant.
  • Maintain a professional, courteous manner with all vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.
  • Ensure safety standards are followed, complying with all company, local, city, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with all work-related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner.
  • Follow established company policies.
  • Perform minor and major repairs of the building and equipment.
  • Install electrical wiring and equipment.
  • Maintain and repair equipment used throughout the warehouse daily.
  • Transport small equipment or tools between departments.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a General Maintenance Technician or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including the use of a lathe.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoor and indoor settings.
