Starting salary for the Electrician/General Plant Maintenance role is $39.64 per hour with an increase to $40.63 slated for November 2024. New hires will be entitled to a $500 sign-on bonus after completing six months with the company. This position may be referred to as Industrial Electrician, Maintenance Technician, or Electrician elsewhere.

Crown currently seeks an Electrician/General Plant Maintenance technician for our Dayton, OH facility. This is your chance to join the Dayton team responsible for producing millions of beverage can lids daily. Responsibilities for Electrician/General Plant Maintenance include:
- Diagnosing equipment stoppages and responding appropriately
- Engaging in regular preventive/predictive maintenance and conducting routine inspections
- Supporting manufacturing processes during product changeovers
- Using various mechanical and electrical testing devices
- Monitoring and promptly addressing routine maintenance needs
- Preferred qualifications include an Associate's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience), 3-5 years of hands-on experience in an industrial environment
- Experience with Allen Bradley PLC's, Vision systems, and other sophisticated automation technologies. Knowledge of robotics is a bonus
- Proficiency in high-pressure hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated material handling involving 480vac VFD's and PLC control logic troubleshooting
- Strong mechanical skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in interpreting blueprints for manufacturing equipment and understanding manuals and industry guidelines (Electrical Code and OSHA regulations)
- Basic machining and welding abilities, as well as fabrication skills
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts and a rotating schedule
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Successful completion of pre-employment physical assessment, drug screening, and background check
Physical Requirements
- While performing job duties, team members must stand, walk, use hands to handle objects and controls, and reach with hands and arms on a regular basis
- Frequent activities include climbing, balancing, and communication
- Occasional tasks involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
- Regular lifting and moving of objects up to 10 pounds, frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds is expected
- This position demands excellent visual capabilities, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
