A cosmetic raw material company located in South Plainfield, NJ seeks a Quality Control Technician with hands on QC & regulatory experience. The job consists of preparation of quality control documents, testing & coordinating with lab staff and 3rd party laboratories.

Position Responsibilities:

Work directly with the Lab Manager and Quality Control team, the person will be required to:

  • Sampling of raw materials for QC and laboratory
  • Perform in-house QC testing (pH, Viscosity, UV-VIS Spectroscopy, etc.)
  • Coordinate with outside QC testing facilities -follow up with third party laboratories
  • Proper data entry and filing of QC results and retains
  • Calibration and troubleshoot any possible lab equipment issues
  • Work with colleagues to assist in quality claims (purchasing, sales, product development, etc.)
  • Update and revise SOP’s and quality control documents
  • Assist peers with overflow, repackaging, and day-to-day tasks and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in the Sciences with 3+ years QC/QA lab experience
  • Experience with analytical instrumentation, method development and validation
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and effectively handle multiple priorities with a calm, professional and willing attitude
  • Effective, proper written and oral communications skills
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Organizational skills, filing and multi-tasking skills
  • Detail and results oriented
  • Highly organized and advanced communication skills
