The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives. They will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices.

 

MUST COME FROM A UNION ENVIRONMENT

Location: Gasden, AL-Open to relocating someone if needed

SHIFT- 7:30a-4p

Pay: $90k-110k/base

Relo: Open

Degree: Bachelors Required

Benefits: 2 weeks PTO+ 1 week of between Christmas and NYE, 401k match for 50% of the first 5% and an additional 2% of annual salary if you’re a new hire.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
  • 5+ years' experience in Human Resources
  • Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies
  • Demonstrated expertise training managers and employees
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills
  • Attention to detail and good judgement

 

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enforce ALL Health & Safety rules and ensure a healthy and safe work environment
  • Maintain exceptional housekeeping standards at all times
  • Execute and enforce all manufacturing standards and shop floor rules
  • Execute all Manufacturing, Quality and QMS systems to meet product and customer requirements and operational goals
  • Help develop work instructions to train operators
  • Ensure all team leaders are maintaining required certifications
  • Understand and enforce QS principles and engage hourly workforce in continuous improvement activities
  • Supervise, coach, develop and evaluate subordinates by example
  • Achieve manufacturing goals for safety, delivery, quality, cost, scrap and productivity
  • Suggest and implement cost reduction ideas
  • Implement and maintain communication between management and employees
  • Perform daily and weekly audits, metrics reports, and supervisor standard work
  • Ensure seamless engineering and process changes into production
  • Conduct disciplinary interviews and issue corrective action when needed
  • Record and maintain employee attendance and timekeeping
