Summary:

The Associate Build Project Manager is embedded within the Operations Build Project Management group and offers support by participating in the various duties required to deliver a manufacturing plan to the appropriate stakeholders. They work concurrently with the broader Build Project Management staff to support new and ongoing manufacturing processing and planning across various projects varying from small to large, complex aerospace tooling.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Actively participates as a member of a cross functional team.
  • Material ordering with specifications required by the customer.
  • Measure detail in CAD data, record, and double check accuracy.
  • Evaluate released design packages to develop manufacturing plan, work scope, material cut list, request for quote (RFQ), and manufacturing bill of material (BOM).
  • Reconcile bill of material (BOM) against open orders to validate the appropriate needs are being achieved to support manufacturing.
  • Communication with Project Management and/or appropriate stakeholders to discuss manufacturing concerns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelors or Associates degree preferred.
  • Manufacturing or relevant experience preferred.
  • CAD Software Knowledge:
    • CATIA V5, NX, or Equivalent software knowledge preferred.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a Secret security clearance.

  • Uses computer-aided design (CAD).
  • Can multitask and manage multiple large to small projects in a cross functional environment.
  • Creates and maintains complex files and written documents.
  • Work in a high energy, high volume, rapidly changing environment.
  • Communicates regularly with stakeholders to get feedback and performance information.
  • Provides excellent service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to plan and set priorities.
  • Clear and effective communication skills in both written and spoken forms.
  • Knowledge of computer applications including email, databases, word-processing program, and spreadsheets (such as Microsoft Office).
  • Maintains confidentiality while processing and handling confidential information with discretion.
  • Defines tasks and milestones to achieve objectives, while ensuring the optimal use of resources to achieve those objectives.
  • Works effectively with different levels of management, team members and customers.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.

  • Standard work schedule, overtime may be necessary for meeting deadlines, emergent conditions.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
