Position


Cat5 Commerce is currently seeking a Software Project Manager to play a pivotal role in driving successful project planning, execution and delivery. 


We are a highly recognizable and well regarded leader of 20 years in the tactical / workwear industries, with projects deeply rooted in strong marketing and ecommerce principles and brought to life using Agile methodologies.  


The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of resolving technical / business challenges through managing complex projects, building strong relationships, and the agility to deliver results in an atmosphere with a high degree of cross-team collaboration. The ability to evaluate a wide variety of requests, conduct in-depth technical discovery, and prioritize those designated as project-worthy with development team members is essential. Previous experience in working with software development teams is key to establishing key metrics and achievable goals, which maximize team capacity. 


Success in this role will employ a two-pronged approach. Not only will you manage many of the technical initiatives which maintain our spot as a top retailer in our industry, but you will invest considerable time in the continuous maintenance and improvement of our ERP system. This includes blending data-driven decision making with consideration for successful deployment by the end-user / staff. 


Duties: 


  • Develop and execute comprehensive project communication plans
  • Ensure timely and transparent communication of project goals, responsibilities, expectations and risks to Development team and other stakeholders
  • Communicate and oversee project priorities, events, role/task assignments, resources, and status updates
  • Build strong working relationships with Development team, stakeholders, and impacted teams
  • Identify, evaluate, and document “lessons learned” during the project and establish and share as best practices
  • Ensure that project data is collected and stored for future analysis or reporting purposes


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree w/a minimum of four years of relevant experience or equivalent combination  
  • Strong grasp of project management methodologies and ability to adapt them to varying project needs
  • Ability to initiate and manage multiple projects in parallel and with multiple dependencies
  • Proficiency in data collection and storage concepts, contributing to informed decision making and documentation of best practices, protocols 
  • Ability to tailor project communications and instructions to fit a variety of technical skill levels
  • Prior ecommerce and/or Acumatica ERP experience preferred
