Customer Service Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Support:
Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone regarding product availability, pricing, and specifications.
Assist customers in placing orders, processing returns, and resolving any issues or concerns they may have.
2. Inventory Management:
Utilize computer systems to check inventory status and availability of products.
Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure accurate inventory levels and timely restocking.
3. Shipping Coordination:
Monitor shipping status and provide customers with updates on their orders.
Address any shipping-related issues or delays and work with logistics partners to resolve them efficiently.
4. Quote and Invoice Generation:
Prepare quotes for customers based on their requirements and pricing guidelines.
Generate invoices accurately, ensuring all relevant details are included and follow up on payment status as needed.
5. Product Knowledge:
Develop a comprehensive understanding of our product line to effectively address customer inquiries and provide relevant information.
Stay updated on product features, specifications, and promotions to offer informed assistance to customers.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong multitasking abilities to handle simultaneous phone and computer tasks efficiently.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in processing orders, quotes, and invoices.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in customer service or a related field is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in customer service is a plus.
- Some experience in shipping such as UPS and Feed is a plus but not a requirement
Working Conditions:
- This role primarily involves working in an office environment, with significant time spent on the phone and computer.
- May require occasional overtime or weekend work, especially during peak seasons or to address customer needs.
