Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the automotive service department, including scheduling, staffing, and workflow optimization.
  • Ensure efficient and profitable operation by monitoring productivity, managing resources, and controlling expenses.
  • Hire, train, and supervise service department personnel, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional growth.
  • Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction by addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring quality service delivery.
  • Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to safety, quality, and service standards.
  • Collaborate with the sales department to promote service offerings and maximize customer retention.
  • Oversee inventory management and parts ordering to ensure availability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor industry trends and technological advancements to recommend improvements in service operations.
  • Prepare and analyze departmental reports, budgets, and forecasts for management review.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Technology, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in automotive service management, with a proven track record of success.
  • Extensive knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and employees.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with automotive service management software.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
