We are seeking a Qualified Mental Health Professional to join our team The QMHP will work regularly with each assigned client and be available by phone daily 24 hours a day in case of an emergency. The QMHP will have direct responsibility for guidance and supervision of the clients to whom he/she is assigned including:
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care to children and families.
- Work with children to meet the goals and objectives of their Individualized Service Plans.
- Assist with developing acceptable habits and attitudes.
- Work with children and guardians to build effective communication, problem-solving, and anger management skills in their daily lives.
- Assist therapists with crisis intervention.
- Participates in individual and group supervision.
- Participates in family assessment planning to help each family meet their goals.
- Handle a caseload of up to 5 clients.
- Assist the client through case management and provide other resources that promote a healthy client.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Mental Health Counseling or other related fields.
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services Field approved by DBHDS.
- One year of experience providing mental health treatment to at-risk youth and their families.
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
