- Always planning three months in advance, establish a quarterly Program Calendar complete with healthy life-skill program/course-work partnerships with community partners, business entities, and independent volunteers.
- Recruit, organize, and schedule reliable partners to facilitate weekly resident programming, Saturday family-focused activities, and children’s programs, that align with the organization’s mission and meet the immediate needs of residents. These activities are to be inclusive, engaging, match our mission values, and sustain the duration of the programming time.
- Prepare weekly outline of Saturday Activity Plan for the weekend staff to reference and enforce; prepare and ensure a back-up plan is in place for any Saturday activity that is scheduled outside of the house.
- Continuously and comprehensively communicate with the programs and program volunteers to ensure the most beneficial program and activity outcomes.
- Diligently maintain the Program Calendar for staff and resident reference; prepare any and all materials necessary for each scheduled program/activity as well as coordinate any transportation logistics necessary.
- Meet weekly with staff to receive feedback, discuss current resident needs, and determine any conflicts; meet weekly with the Executive Director to review the Program Calendar and discuss future objectives.
- Background in and passion for Human/Social Services, Management, or a related field.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Outlook Email.
- Exceptional communication skills - written and verbal. Collaborative relationship building experience within community a plus.
- Ability to creatively problem solve, resolve conflict, and lead a large group of women and children through various activities.
- Forward-thinking, creative-thinking, and ability to set goals and reach them. Maintain a “bigger picture” perspective without neglecting the fine details.
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively; ability to adhere to pre-planned activities and schedule.
- Ability to work with a great deal of autonomy, but also be a team player. Work collaboratively with all other staff members for the shared mission of the organization.
- Ability to adapt and respond to last minute changes in the schedule or changes in activity structure.
- Ability to work with a diverse set of individuals with backgrounds of trauma, abuse, and addiction.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able pass a drug test.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
