Van Driver – Per Diem


The Van Driver is responsible for safe and punctual delivery of the Mobile Healthcare Program (MHP) vehicle to designated locations, contributing to the maintenance and care of the MHP vehicles, and compliance with all applicable driving laws and internal policies and procedures.

Salary Range: $20.00 - $25.00


Job Duties

  • Responsible for transporting the Mobile Healthcare Program (MHP) vehicle to various locations on the seacoast, including but not limited to Dover, NH, Exeter, NH, Portsmouth, NH, Rochester, NH, and Somersworth, NH.
  • Responsible for routinely obtaining fuel and supplies to ensure the ongoing availability of the assigned MHP Vehicle. Coordinates needs with the Facility & Safety Manager.
  • Inspects assigned vehicle prior to the start of each operational day. Immediately reporting any vehicle safety deficiencies, and notifying immediately if a vehicle is determined to be unsafe to operate.
  • Monitors weather conditions daily and notifies immediately if a vehicle is determined to be unsafe to operate due to weather conditions.
  • Operates the vehicle safely at all times, obeying all motor vehicles laws.
  • As the driver of a large vehicle this position has specific physical requirements including good distance, color and peripheral vision, good depth perception, ability to adjust focus, sharp hearing, clear speech, good physical dexterity and ability to tolerate prolonged sitting.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required
  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required
  • 3-5 years of related work experience required
  • Possess strong interpersonal communication skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Employee should work well both independently and with others.
  • Demonstrated ability to safely operate and maneuver a large vehicle.
  • Demonstrated safe driving history.
