Job Title: Mental Health Counselor

Location: Pleasantville, New York

Employment Type: Full-time OR Fee for Service

Schedule: 8-hour, 10-hour and 12-hour shifts available; rotating weekends

Responsibilities:

· Provide individual crisis intervention to children and adolescents using age-appropriate, evidence-based approaches.

· Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify emotional, behavioral, and developmental concerns.

· Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

· Facilitate therapeutic groups and workshops to address common childhood challenges.

· Stay informed about current trends and best practices in children's mental health to inform approaches.

Qualifications:

· Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field with a focus on children and adolescents.

· Current licensure in New York State or eligibility for limited permit licensure as an LMHC, LMSW & LCSW

· Experience working with children and families in a mental health setting.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage children and build rapport.
