Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Plumbing/HVAC Preconstruction Manager to lead our preconstruction team. The role demands expertise in commercial mechanical design and engineering, focusing on ensuring efficient project execution and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the preconstruction team, including engineers, estimators, and designers.
- Develop and implement preconstruction strategies to optimize efficiency.
- Manage project budgets and timelines.
- Prepare competitive proposals for clients.
- Ensure mechanical plans comply with codes and specifications.
- Facilitate collaboration with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate preconstruction risks and challenges.
- Oversee subcontractors and vendors for timely material delivery.
- Deliver presentations and reports to clients and internal teams.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulations.
- Foster a positive team environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- EIT or PE license preferred.
- 5+ years in commercial plumbing and HVAC design/engineering, including 2+ years in preconstruction management.
- Experience in large, complex projects, preferably hospital OSHPD-HCAI projects.
- Proficiency in Revit MEP and similar software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Must be based in or near Orange County, CA.
