Job DescriptionJob Description

Summary:

Perform skilled technical work in plumbing installation and repair work on plumbing systems for the ON2 Projects. The Plumber Assistant exercises understanding of plumbing projects and ensures projects comply with local building codes, with guidance from a journeyman plumber.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Residential plumbing installation

· Repair plumbing and pipe systems

· Apply adhesives, sealants, and caulk

· Install appliances: refrigerators, dishwashers, water softeners, and water heaters

· Install pipe systems for gas, water, steam, and other liquids

· Use soldering techniques

· Utilize tools to assemble components

· Fix leaking and clogged lines

· Install sinks and faucets

· Perform pressure tests on pipe systems

· Replace defective parts

· Diagnose plumbing and piping problems

· Identify problems

· Inspect systems once installed

· Troubleshoot system failures

· Follow safety protocols

· Learn and comply with building codes

· May be required to do any work outside of the scope of the role to help team complete project

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

· Must have basic residential plumbing knowledge

· Must have basic to intermediary computer/applications skills including emails and MS office suite

· Ability to accurately complete paperwork to document service process/delivery

· Ability to internalize, display and promote PBS business best-practices and values

· Ability to work in confined spaces and physical able to crawl, crouch and kneel for long periods of time

· Ability to tolerate potentially dangerous, noisy, or unpleasant working conditions

· Desire to pursue ongoing learning about new systems and materials

· Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

· Ability to read drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure proper installation of new lines and pipes

· Basic math skills

· Team work ethic
