Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimize costs, quality, and delivery of indirect materials.
- Identifying potential suppliers, conducting supplier evaluations, and negotiating contracts and pricing terms to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide procurement support and guidance.
- Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers, monitoring vendor performance, and addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
- Evaluating market trends, industry developments, and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements throughout the procurement process.
- Utilizing procurement tools and systems to track purchases, manage budgets, and generate reports on procurement activities and performance.
- Participating in cross-functional teams and initiatives to support organizational goals and objectives.
- Staying abreast of best practices in procurement, supply chain management, and industry trends to continuously improve procurement processes and practices.
Background and Skill
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field. (Preferred but not required)
- Experience: Minimum 7 years in procurement, with a focus on indirect materials procurement in a manufacturing environment.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation and supplier relationship skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management, procurement regulations, and market dynamics.
- Certifications: Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) are a plus.
