Job DescriptionJob Description

Our company is currently seeking ​an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team You will be responsible for preparing and processing vendor invoices and related documents for payment processing.

Responsibilities:

  • Match vendor invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents; account code and enter into system.
  • Handle payment checks by matching check stub to invoice(s), mail checks and file paid invoices
  • Occasionally contact vendors to resolve disputes or discrepancies.
  • Daily processing of select customer orders to off-site facility.
  • Process 3rd party customer shipments from off-site facility.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in accounting or equivalent prior experience.
  • Fundamental knowledge of general ledger account and GAAP accounting principles
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Deadline and detail-oriented; high degree of accuracy
  • Sales and use tax experience helpful
  • Prior exposure to EDI orders and invoicing desired
  • Experience with Microsoft EXCEL and WORD
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
