CSS is working with a respected national law firm seeking a Collector for a contract assignment.
Responsibilities:
- Collect delinquent accounts for property taxes. (Real & Business accounts)
- Locate and monitor overdue accounts
- Confer with customers by telephone, email & in person (if need be) about their accounts
- Advise customers of necessary actions and strategies for debt repayment
- Persuade customers to pay amounts due or set arrangements for debt repayment or establish repayment schedules that the firm requires
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED
- Bilingual in Spanish REQUIRED
- Previous experience as a collector or in a related field PREFERRED
- Familiarity with Texas Property Tax system PREFERRED
- Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Self-motivated and self-directed; able to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
- Readily adapt to changing priorities
