Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Production Chef will lead the Triple Phoenix cannabis-infused edibles production for Highway Horticulture, a vertically-integrated cannabis company. The position will be based at our 25,000 square foot processing facility in Marshall, where we produce various branded edibles and beverages. The Production Chef is a fast-paced position, creating gourmet infused products like brownies, cookies, cereal bars, and more in large batches under the well-established Triple Phoenix brand. The position will manage a small team of two Production Technicians and a Sous Chef in all aspects of production from preparation of ingredients to final product and cleaning of equipment.

Job duties will include, but are not limited to:
 
  • Oversee production of Triple Phoenix gourmet infused edibles based on Standard Operating Procedures and specifications, while ensuring production schedules are met
  • Plan and order ingredients, raw materials, utensils, etc. based on needs and budget
  • Schedule support team to ensure production needs are met and labor is within budget
  • Ensure all Team Members follow GMP guidelines to guarantee efficient, safe and sanitary food production, and preparation
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all production areas
  • Ensure equipment is operating as intended and maintenance is completed and logged
  • Work with Talent & Culture department to manage a team of Production Technicians and a Sous Chef, including timesheets, performance plans, reviews, hiring, training, and separations.
  • Monitor freshness, spoilage, and inspect food products daily to ensure quality standards
  • Cross-train Sous Chef to cover Production Chef responsibilities
  • Work with Director of Production to schedule packaging of final product
Job requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and eligible to work in the US
  • At least two years of experience overseeing food production in a GMP facility
  • At least two years of experience in management
  • ServSafe certified
