Position - Production Scheduler/Expeditor

Hourly Pay $23 - $25 DOE

Days: Monday-Thursday, some Fridays required

A manufacturing warehouse located in Austin, TX is currently seeking a Production Scheduler. This is a Temp To Perm position that offers a great opportunity to join a dynamic team full time.

Candidate must have the following experience:

  • At least three years of experience in a manufacturing inventory environment
  • At least three years of experience developing production schedules
  • At least three years of demonstrated working experience and proficiency with Microsoft
    Office® Suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook) and/or Netsuite or similar ERP Systems
  • At least three years working with creating mathematical calculations related to
    schedules and material requirements
  • One to two years’ experience working in a warehouse setting / shipping clerk
    experience.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Generate a production schedule, updated daily, to coordinate all parts of the
    manufacturing operation.
  • Work with other departments (sales, project management, purchasing, etc.) to provide
    scheduling information for their needs and obtain necessary inputs to
    produce an accurate schedule.
  • Focus on schedule integrity and solutions to overcome obstacles.
  • Support the Production Department to resolve and correct issues preventing adherence
    to schedule, such as material supply and ERP system issues.
  • Monitor inventory levels.
  • Monitor and coordinate outside services as they relate to the schedule, including
    working with purchasing to assure supplier set-up and on-time completion.
  • Validate execution of schedule by monitoring completion of process steps and develop
    contingency plans for schedule disruptions.
  • Work with purchasing, engineering & design, and production departments to assure
    schedule accuracy.
  • Actively tour the manufacturing areas to directly check on the status of orders.
