North Texas Tarp and Awning (NTTA) is an established, (1948) family owned, and respected manufacturing business, located in Denton. We manufacture a variety of products using weather impervious fabric, including but not limited to: awnings, canopies, outdoor shading systems, tarps, equipment covers, boat covers, swimming pool covers, arena enclosures, drilling rig enclosures and custom industrial engineered solutions to industrial problems.

We have an immediate opening for a Sales Representative.

The successful candidate must have very good people skills, and a willingness to learn. .Applicant must be responsive in a timely fashion to customer inquiries The applicant should be self-motivated, and have a personal drive to achieve company, and personal goals. This is an entry-level position, which will give the right person the opportunity to learn our trade. You will start with tasks in both sales and production with increasing responsibilities in Sales as you gain knowledge of our industry, therefore experience in a production environment will be helpful.

Successful candidates will have the following:

· Good organizational skills

Valid drivers license and insurable in the state of Texas. This positions require 1-2 days of local travel per week using a company vehicle

· Detail oriented and disciplined self-starter

· Outstanding customer service and communication skills

· Problem-solving skills with the habit of being pro-active. Ability to demonstrate honesty and integrity

· Some college education helpful, including knowledge of Excel and Word.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Willingness to work and learn new skills.

2. Securing orders from existing and potential customers. This usually requires the ability to read engineering plans, with a follow-up site visit, visiting individual commercial or residential customers, taking detailed dimensions, learning our industry so that you can advise the customer with correct solutions to their situation with a focus on functionality and style to match the customers environment.

3. Responding in a timely manner to the customer on quotes.

4. Calculate a valid quotation based on the customers requirements.

5. Follow up (by phone or visit) on quotations submitted to customers.

6. It is of the utmost importance to be able to accurately translate customer’s requirements and your final decision to production in form of a work order.

7. Establishes professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate customer’s personnel (purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, QA, management or other key personnel.)

8. The ability and desire to network effectively.

Compensation includes: base salary, monthly commissions for meeting sales goals, company provided phone, and Vacation and Health Insurance package offered after initial probationary period
