Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping for multiple clients and expertise in sales tax regulations specific to Washington State. Additionally, the candidate should be capable of covering phone duties when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure financial data accuracy.
  • Prepare and file sales tax returns in compliance with Washington State regulations.
  • Generate financial reports for clients, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Manage client invoicing and payment processing.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Cover phone duties and manage client communications as needed.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and special projects as required.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in a small office environment handling multiple clients.
  • In-depth knowledge of Washington State sales tax regulations and filing procedures.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop, QBO and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.

Experience Level:

  • Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience required.
