Job DescriptionJob Description

Athens Driving Prep offers private in-car driving lessons to new drivers. Our primary clients are teen and young adult drivers, as well as international adult students. This means that our busiest times are when students are not in school: after school hours, weekends, summertime, and holiday breaks.

With distracted driving on the rise, it is imperative that our new drivers are given a solid and thorough driving education; we achieve this by using a tried and true in-car training curriculum. As a driving instructor, you will be entirely responsible for the safety of yourself, your student, and the instructional car at all times.

  • This position should be considered as a commitment to the driver education industry
  • You will be required to undertake the process of becoming a licensed Georgia driving instructor, which can take 6 - 8 weeks
  • Part-time piecework to be paid per lesson taught (usually two hours long)
  • Most lessons are taught on weekends, holiday breaks, and after school hours
  • Perfect for teachers, retirees, or as a special for LEO’s who want to supplement their current income and do not need benefits
  • Flexible schedule
  • This is a small family business; we are about quality of lessons, not quantity. We want our students to be safe, comfortable, and happy with our service
