Job Description

City Signs is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be responsible for translating customer requirements into compelling visual designs for signage. The ideal candidate will excel in understanding client needs, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and collaborating effectively with team members.

Responsibilities

• Design Creation: Develop visually effective sign designs based on customer-provided criteria.
• Design Modification: Update and refine existing sign designs according to customer and management feedback.
• Quality Management: Ensure high-quality output while managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth project execution.
• Time Management: Efficiently manage your workload to meet project deadlines.
• Customer Interaction: Handle phone calls and interact directly with customers to understand their requirements and provide updates.
• Concept Development: Develop initial design concepts and present them to clients for feedback.
• Project Documentation: Maintain detailed project documentation and design specifications.
• Market Research: Conduct market research to stay updated on design trends and industry standards.
• Software Proficiency: Regularly update skills and knowledge of design software and tools.
• Brand Adherence: Ensure that designs adhere to brand guidelines and company standards.

Required Qualifications

• Adobe Creative Suite Proficiency: Expertise in Adobe Illustrator and other Creative Suite applications.
• Vector Graphics Knowledge: Strong understanding and experience with vector graphics.
• Creative Design Skills: Demonstrated ability to create compelling designs, supported by a robust portfolio.
• Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and ability to produce high-quality work under pressure.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Multi-tasking Ability: Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Initiative: Ability to follow directions while also demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
• Customer Service Orientation: Customer service-oriented with the ability to manage client relationships.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with prepress and print production processes.
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• CorelDraw Proficiency: Experience with CorelDraw software.
• Roland Versaworks Experience: Familiarity with Roland Versaworks and printing on Roland printers.
• Sign Industry Knowledge: Prior experience or knowledge in the signage industry.

Please Note:

• This is a full-time position requiring availability from Monday to Friday, with occasional early or late hours and rare weekend work.
• Overtime may be necessary as job demands.
• All applicants will undergo drug testing prior to hiring and periodically at random intervals.
