Legal Assistant Wanted

 

We’re a growing Personal Injury law firm looking for a Legal Assistant to assist our litigation department. We need this employee to file documents with the various courts, monitor & maintain assigned attorney’s litigation schedule and calendar, coordinate discovery answers with clients, draft discovery responses, update clients on a continual basis, correspond with opposing counsel regarding deposition and mediation dates, produce/create deposition notebooks and trial materials and maintain discovery production logs.

Responsibilities:

 

  • File documents with the various courts
  • Monitor & maintain assigned attorney’s litigation schedule
  • Calendar any deadlines assigned
  • Coordinate discovery answers with clients and draft responses
  • Update clients on a continual basis
  • Assist litigation staff for trial
  • Prepare attorney binders for Hearings, Mediation, and Depositions

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Previous experience as a paralegal or other legal field
  • Minimum of Associates degree
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

· Bilingual (Spanish)

· Personal Injury Litigation experience
