Production Planner

Job Summary
The Production Planner is responsible for assisting with troubleshooting production issues, distribution of shop floor information and associated paperwork from production control and assists with administrative duties related to Inventory Control, Purchase Orders, Process Control, and Reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Disseminates paperwork, labels, or drawings from Production Control to the production floor.
- Reconciles purchase orders to what is received and sends PO to Accounting once reconciled.
- Align production schedule to accommodate materials availability, department availability, and customer orders.
- Acts as a liaison between production employees and production control to help troubleshoot production issues.
- Assists in process creation and improvement for documentation.
- Creates reports/metrics as needed for improvement opportunities.
- Contributes to weekly/monthly cycle count inventories for Crib, Warehouse, and Plant.
- Assists with checking in and monitoring of cut to size parts and inventory management
- Participates and contributes to a Work Team environment and follows Quality Control checks.
- Follows all Safety Rules and contributes to a safe work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Training or Experience
- High School education or up to one-month related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-3 years of production planning or scheduling experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong Interpersonal Communication
- Organization
- Able to meet deadlines
- Problem Solving
- Familiar with software (Microsoft office products) and hardware (scanning & label printers)
