Suburban Chicago-based leading global producer of specialty ingredients for biotechnology, pharmaceutical, home and personal care, and other consumer-oriented and industrial markets is searching for a Research Engineer.

 

This is an immediate position available for a PhD level Chemical Engineer to help bring new chemistries from the laboratory bench-top to the manufacturing plant. This person will lead process development projects and perform direct hands-on laboratory work in support of process innovation. Process technologies include reaction, distillation, ion exchange, crystallization, solids handling, and bioprocessing.

 

This individual with give presentations to both technical and commercial / management audiences.

 

The successful candidate will have experience in a chemical R&D environment with good knowledge of chemical reactions, distillation, and organic chemistry. Familiarity with statistical tools and process simulation software (ASPEN) is a big plus.
