Store Manager – Job Description

You manage a successful growing company with a single goal: to assist all clients in experiencing the joy of cannabis products in regular life. You are the manager of a sales team made up of consultants, experts, and supporters who identify customer needs and provide solutions to win their loyalty. Every time a customer visits your store, you oversee teams who are passionate about ensuring they leave with everything they expected and a little bit more. You create team members who care about their guests and each other, as well as leaders who care about their team members. What we expect from our managers:

  • Experience creating and managing a culture of putting customers first throughout the store and familiarity with the fundamentals of guest service.

  • Assess market competition, take into account customer insights, and make business decisions.
  • Prior management experience overseeing a sizable group of leaders and hourly team members.
  • Skills and knowledge in hiring, choosing, managing, and planning talent across all store departments.

What a typical day looks like for our manager:

  • Be in charge of your store's overall operations to boost productivity and boost sales.
  • Make decisions by using your reports (financial, operational, team, and guest) to comprehend the business.
  • Recognize sales trends and direct your team to capitalize on important seasons, occasions, and weekends to boost sales in core business categories.
  • Be aware of and evaluate the competition; make use of customer insights and feedback to grow the company and become our visitors' preferred destination.
  • Run a productive business to support the sales culture.
  • Adhere to every safe and secure training and procedures as a key management leader.
  • Attend to shop necessities (emergency, ethical conduct, California safety and compliance, etc..). Lead by example and make sure everyone on the team follows your lead. Develop an attentive and motivated staff.
  • Create a team and culture that values customer loyalty and shares services and rewards to increase accessibility and regularity.
  • Manage a self-assured and knowledgeable sales team that offers a distinctive guest experience, puts the customer first, and provides a warm, motivational, rewarding, and simple guest experience.
  • Find, hire, and keep a motivated team with expertise and knowledge in the relevant field.
  • Invest in training to improve abilities and skills.
  • Measure and control personal impact using total store contribution.
  • Develop long-term talent strategies to support team expansion.
  • Be in charge of and implement hourly work schedules that suit customer and business requirements (including weekends, mornings, evenings, overnight, and appropriate seasonal adjustments)

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Minimum of one year of experience as a store manager, or an equivalent level of experience.
  • High school diploma or GED is required for education. Preferably, you have a one-year college degree or comparable experience.
  • Prior retail cannabis experience is required.
  • Strong cognitive abilities, including problem-solving, decision-making, financial and quantitative analysis, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills
