Job DescriptionJob Description

Talento Search Group has an opening for a CNC Machinist in Mokena, Illinois. This is a direct-hire position and the pay rate is from $24-$31 per hour, depending on experience. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Program and Setup CNC equipment for production operations
  • Repair tools, fixtures, and dies
  • Perform preventive maintenance on machinery
  • Perform changeovers on equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair machine breakdowns

Experience Needed:

  • At least 3 years of recent machining experience
  • Ability to make parts and repair tooling using mills and lathes - must be able to run a VTL
  • Strong experience with setting up CNC machines and operating them for production
  • Experience with a Mori Seiki 4 axis horizontal mill with Fanuc controls, Mazak lathe experience, vertical milling experience, program reading and program edits. able to do fixturing and set-up
  • Must be able to read blueprints, use dial calipers, micrometer, depth gauges, and scales
  • Ability to perform shop math and ability to read schematics
  • Ability to rig heavy machinery and equipment for use with overhead cranes
