This position is for Remote Work.

This position support the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)'s Office of the Commissioner (OC), Office of the Chief

Scientist (OCS), Office of Laboratory Safety (OLS) and the Office of Operations (OO), Office of

Facilities Engineering and Management Support (OFEMS), Employee Safety and Occupational

Health (ESOH)

OLS and ESOH are creating policy and guidance documents pertaining to occupational safety and

health, occupational medicine, radiation safety and biological safety. OLS/ESOH also charter and

participate in many committees and working groups which require the documentation of minutes.

Significant support is needed for these efforts.

The qualified candidate will:

· Provide administrative support to various FDA Safety Committees and work groups (e.g.,

· Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC), Environmental Safety and Health Council, etc.);

· Prepare the IBC meeting agenda, attend IBC meetings and planning meetings, draft meeting minutes or summaries, as appropriate;

· Send IBC communications emails and meeting invites using Microsoft (MS) Outlook;

· Perform outreach to FDA scientific staff and Center safety staff about the status of completion of OSHA training, Occupational Health, and agency policy requirements in support of IBC application review;

· Perform data entry using MS Access and MS Excel database and spreadsheet programs.

· The Technical Writer will work with CTP program managers to plan, organize, and participate in meetings, as identified by the Division’s leadership. This includes, but is not limited to, managing program schedules and calendars; scheduling meetings using FDA-approved MS Office tools and networks; contacting appropriate stakeholders, as identified by the program’s supervisor; notifying the program supervisor of any conflicts that would hinder the meeting objectives and; preparing, assembling and distributing meeting materials (e.g., agendas, project correspondence, minutes, etc.).

· Prepare and edit materials to enhance knowledge of OLS/ESOH policies and issues; draft and distribute e-mails, letters and other written correspondence as identified by program supervisor; and, compile information from various sources and prepare and update summary reports of program activities.

· The candidate must have the ability to respond to program changes and reprioritize tasks, as identified. This will be done via technical direction from the Division’s Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR)

DELIVERABLES

· The candidate will provide electronic copies of professionally edited documents from originals provided by FDA or from written documents generated by the candidate from intent, direction and dictation provided by FDA points of contact to achieve the desired communication. Documents shall be provided in MS Word format and must be Section 508 compliant.

· Be advised that the FDA does not accept documents which contain the use of macros. Document submissions required throughout the period of performance of this contract will not have macro enabled functionality, and any document delivered having that functionality will be deemed delinquent, if not corrected prior to the due date.

· The Contractor shall provide a Monthly Status Report (MSR) to the assigned COR, incorporating all tasks at a high level and their progress. Within the first 30 calendar days after award, the Government and the Contractor shall design and agree upon a standard reporting format and timeframe. At a minimum, each

MSR shall contain the following information:

· The previous month’s activities (completed and in-progress);

· Deviation from previous month’s planned progress (either positive or negative);

· The current month’s planned activities (complete and in-progress);

· All current risks and planned mitigations;

· The MSR must be submitted via email on the third business day of the month to the Project Manager
