Production Operations Team Lead

Between our east coast office in Atlanta, Georgia and our west coast office in Sunnyvale, California, VITEC has regional locations throughout the USA. Our office in Atlanta was recently upgraded with a complete solar panel system and continues to expand, as the US based core manufacturing and shipping hub for VITEC worldwide.

About the role:

The role of Production Operations Team Lead is essential in ensuring that our production operations run smoothly and efficiently, delivering quality products on time by following standard manufacturing procedures. The Production Operations Team Lead will act as a knowledge resource for other team members to resolve production problems and answers questions about processes, methods, or equipment. Reviews daily assembly production records, monitors, and analyzes metrics to coordinate materials and resources for daily operations. Provides support for managing production operations to ensure that volume, cost, waste, and quality standards are achieved.

What you’ll do:

  • Supervises all aspects of the organization’s logistics management function to deliver and distribute products and materials to the destination to include:

Responsible for daily workflow, standard and non-standard job creation and allocation.

Maintaining due dates and advise any issues to Manager/Customer Operation.

Lead and coordinate with configuration team members to ensure all goods are configured (including correctly loading software/firmware issuing of all licenses) according to requirements and adequate procedures, prior to shipping.

Daily configuration or orders as per instructions.

Ensure all transactions are properly completed in the ERP system.

  • Assure compliance with all company procedures to ensure quality.
  • Configuration and maintenance of production benches.
  • Identifying and anticipating any production issues.
  • Utilizes analytics to monitor and measure performance
  • Assist in shipping/receiving activities.
  • Other duties from time to time maybe required in relation to the configuration and logistics of products.

  • Hardware/Electronics rework experience, in addition to a solid understanding of computers, networks, and various IT equipment.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree and/or related work experience preferred.
  • Proven work experience in a technical or operations role.
  • CompTIA A+ a plus.
  • Forklift experience.
