GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK: 

The Social Club Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and supervising the daily activities of the Day Support Program/Adult Social Club and providing Direct Support Professional care to individuals/members, as needed.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Supervising Direct Support Staff; coordinates work schedules. 

  • Implementing and following the policies and procedures of the Company. 

  • Reviewing and Effectively Implementing Goals of Member Individual Support Plans.  

  • Assisting with onboarding new employees and implementing new hire orientation. 

  • Responsible for completing Attendance, quarterly reviews, emergency drills, vehicle maintenance, unannounced community inspections, verifying medication orders. 

  • Responsible for auditing and ensuring compliance in progress notes completion, medication, behaviors reports and serious incident reports.  

  • Ensuring all activity supplies are readily available for staff usage.  

  • Responsible for implementing daily staff assignments through team meetings. 

  • Responding to inquiries from Case Managers, family members, and other involved individuals.  

  • Ensuring appropriate staffing levels for the Day Support Program and Community Engagement Programs. 

  • Administering medication, when necessary. 

  • Applying first aid, CPR and or Tova, when necessary. 

  • Performs other related work, as required.

  • Ability to be patient with individuals/clients and others. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required. 

  • At least three-years of experience of working with individuals with intellectual and development disabilities. 

  • At least one year of supervisory experience required. 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Must be on time to work, reliable, and dependable. 

  • Must be flexible and able to fill in when needed and on short notice for Day Support and Community Engagement programs. 

  • Must possess intermediate computer skills and be able to effectively use Microsoft applications. 

  • Preferred candidates are those who are TOVA, CPR, and medication administration certified. 

  • Must possess a valid Virginia Driver’s License in good standing. 

  • Must undergo and successfully pass a background check. 

PYSICAL CONDITIONS AND NATURE OF WORK CONTACTS: 

 

  • Must be able to effectively and safely lift and transport individuals via wheelchair and able to lift, squat, bend, stoop, and crouch. 

  • May interact with the public, other Company employees, individual/clients’ families, and caseworkers/managers.
