Wilcox Construction needing a Project Manager on Commercial and Restaurant buidling

All applicants will be considered for this role, however preference will be given to those who have the skills and experience this position requires.

To be successful, candidates must have a strong work ethic, be self-motivated and a team player, possess excellent communications skills (both verbal and written), demonstrate integrity, show competence with basic Microsoft Office applications, and exhibit the ability to constantly multi-task.

Duties will require the use of Foundation Software, experience in this software is preferred but not required. Candidates must be proficient at reading and understanding blueprints and specification books.

JobDuties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple project schedules and crew schedules, arrange appointments, job walks, meetings, etc.
  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule. Review schedules and progress frequently.
  • Coordinate with General Contractors' project team, Subcontractors and our internal project team to ensure proper manpower allocation, material deliveries and adherence to plans and specifications.
  • Visit various assigned project sites to check-in with customer, verify installation progress and that installation is in accordance to plans and specifications.
  • Prepare and submit change orders to customers / vendors
  • Prepare and submit RFI's to customers / vendors
  • Follow and ensure our employees, subcontractors, etc follow all safety requirements per OSHA standards and/or project requirements.
  • Ensure our employees, subcontractors, etc. are utilizing the most current drawings, specifications books, etc. in the field.
  • Attend job walks, communicate with estimating team existing conditions from job walks.
  • Communicate with estimating team and/or Sr Project Managers for required change order pricing on your assigned projects.
  • Obtain quotes from various vendors, suppliers and subcontractors as necessary.
  • Assist with material take-offs and placing purchase orders.
  • Prepare and/or assist in preparation of budgets.
  • Prepare and/or assist in preparation of required weekly / monthly reporting related to work in progress, budgets, profit projections, manpower requirements and financials.
