Job DescriptionJob Description

Overview:

 

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of experience operating forklifts in a fast paced warehouse or distribution center environment.

 

Duties:

 

- Operate forklift to move materials within the warehouse

- Load and unload trucks with incoming and outgoing shipments

- Perform order picking and packing tasks as needed

- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movements

- Use mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance on forklifts

- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks

 

Qualifications:

 

- Must have reliable transportation

- Must be able to read and write legibly

- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one

- Proficiency in operating a variety of forklifts including sit-down and stand-up models

- Familiarity with pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment

- Ability to sit, stand, and lift heavy objects in a fast-paced environment

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and inventory management

- Prior experience in order picking, distribution center, or shipping/receiving roles is a plus
