SHIPPING MANAGER

INFINIUM Architectural Wall Systems is a family-owned turn-key manufacturer of interior Glass Wall Systems headquartered in Strongsville, OH. INFINIUM has an immediate need for a Shipping Manager to oversee our shipping operations, warehousing, and inventory control. The ideal candidate should be highly organized and detail-oriented and will ensure the efficient and timely delivery of products, maintain accurate inventory records, and manage warehouse operations to support our business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Shipping Operations:
    • Coordinate and manage all shipping activities, including scheduling, tracking, and ensuring timely delivery of products.
    • Develop and implement shipping policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Negotiate and manage contracts with shipping carriers and logistics providers.
    • Monitor and analyze shipping performance metrics and implement improvements as needed.
  2. Warehousing:
    • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing products.
    • Ensure the warehouse is organized, clean, and safe, adhering to all safety regulations and standards.
    • Manage warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
    • Implement and maintain warehouse management systems (WMS) to streamline operations.
  3. Inventory Control:
    • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular physical inventory counts.
    • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and ensure stock accuracy.
    • Monitor inventory levels and reorder products as needed to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
    • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and make recommendations for inventory optimization.
  4. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with other departments, such as procurement, sales, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations.
    • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any shipping or inventory-related issues.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on shipping, warehousing, and inventory performance to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in shipping, warehousing, and inventory control, preferably in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain management principles.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
