Now Hiring - Staff Accountant

Full-Time - Permanent

Schedule: 8:45 am to 5:30 pm, Monday – Friday, Saturdays may be required during tax season.

Location: St. Petersburg FL

Compensation: Salary Starting at $58,000

 

Job Summary:

As a Staff Accountant, you'll manage financial tasks for multiple clients, including profit and loss reports, payroll, taxes, and reconciliations. You'll ensure accuracy in all records while contributing to a supportive team that values hard work, growth, and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile client accounts daily/weekly.
  • Record entries from point-of-sale systems.
  • Process payroll and clearings.
  • Perform bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations.
  • Manage accounts payable and vendor payments.
  • Handle accounts receivable, including invoices and payments.
  • Utilize bank feed features for account mapping.
  • Generate profit and loss reports and analyses.
  • Assist with payroll and sales tax prep.
  • Support monthly closeout procedures.

What You’ll Need:

  • 2-3 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience, QuickBooks proficiency.
  • Strong grasp of journal entries, debits, and credits.
  • Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, with strong accuracy.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and client service skills.
  • Goal-oriented, adaptable, and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
