Lakeshore Talent working with a Colorado based distribution organization to fill a hiring need for an Accounts Payable Specialist. This position would be working with an AP Lead and AP Manager to perform full cycle AP processing. This will be starting as a temporary role for 4-6 weeks with a potential for the contractor to be considered for the long-term opening.

 

Pay: $24-$28/hr. 

Location: Englewood, CO (fully onsite)

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm 

Start Date: ASAP. This company is ideally looking for someone to start this week, but all applicants are welcome as we often see needs for Colorado-based Accounts Payable candidates 

 

Description: 

  • Maintain current vendor accounts in relation to AP information including monitoring credit limits and terms

  • Communicate with vendors to resolve questions and obtain monthly statements

  • Effectively prioritize invoices and process payments

  • Reconcile monthly vendor statements 

  • Analyze expense reports and credit cards to assign payments to cost centers

  • Create and verify AP reporting in relation to cash needs

  • Review and enter invoices into Accounts Payable Sub Ledger

  • Prepare weekly cash requirements and disbursements

  • Prepare and post month end accrual entries

  • Research discrepancies in system

  • Maintain filing system, records and documents to ensure easily available information

  • Assist our front desk staff as needed

 

Requirements:

  • AP experience to include: 

    • 3 way invoice matching 

    • Reconciling invoices and PO’s 

    • Researching credit memos 

  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, some college experience preferred

  • 2+ years of experience in an administrative or accounting role 

  • Advanced computer skills, specifically Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products

  • Experience with Sage 100 or other ERP systems preferred

  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
