Expectations of a Accounting/Payroll Clerk
- Execute and manage biweekly payroll to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, commissions, bonuses, and other deductions.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including but not limited to new hires, separations, employment changes.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll, wage, and hour laws.
- Respond to payroll requests, questions and issues as they arise
- Maintain accounts receivable processes, including invoices, collections, and credit card processing
- Prepare AR reports and assist in preparing other financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned by senior accounting staff or management.
Qualifications of a Accounting/Payroll Clerk
- Minimum one year of payroll experience preferred
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (desktop and/or online)
- Attention to detail, strong organizational, and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to act with integrity and confidentiality
- Ability to quickly learn organization payroll system
Job Type and Compensation:
- Full time, non-exempt, office work setting
- $25.00-30.00 per hour
