This position involves the provision of an array of supportive and educational services within the treatment center.This position also requires a high level of self motivation and accountability to clients, program, and organization. Clinicians are responsible for all client related documentation and reports as well as the development and implementation of treatment goals and objectives. Facilitating parent and peer support groups as needed is also expected. Clinicians are required to work at least 40 hours weekly. On a monthly basis, 95.0% of the services provided are to be in the form of direct involvement with the clients and client’s family members. The remaining time will be utilized for service coordination and administrative duties.Position reports directly to Lead Case Manager II and Program Supervisor.

TASKS:

  • Participates in initial assessment of client /family situations and ongoing monthly reports following the approved format.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of the initial service plan (ISP) within the first 30 days.
  • Monitor the length of client services and program compliance.
  • Maintain weekly contact with the referring agency.
  • Arrange and attend weekly case supervision with Case Manager Lead
  • Arrange and attend Clinical supervision.
  • Facilitate as a co-leader of parenting and peer education/support groups as needed.
  • Facilitate as the liaison between family, referring agencies, and other community organizations.
  • Maintain case records and document services rendered.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings consistently. Prior approval from management team is required when absent.
  • Maintain high degree of and client confidentiality.
  • Work with other clinicians assigned to cases, communicating effectively.
  • Maintain a high degree of professionalism during the treatment process, with clients, and with referring agencies seeking to build and maintain positive relationships.
  • Maintain professional boundaries with client and client’s family members.
  • Assist in providing crisis intervention as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Master’s Degree in Human Services is preferred but a B.A. or B.S. in Human Services field includes social work, gerontology, psychology, psychiatric rehabilitation, special education, sociology, counseling, vocational rehabilitation, and human services counseling is accepted.

QPPMH Requirements:

(i) registered with the United States Psychiatric Association (USPRA) as an Associate Psychiatric Rehabilitation Provider (APRP) or (ii) has an associate's degree in a related field (social work, psychology, psychiatric rehabilitation, sociology, counseling, vocational rehabilitation, human services counseling) and at least one year of experience providing direct services to individuals with a diagnosis of mental illness; or (iii) has a minimum of 90 hours classroom training and 12 weeks of experience under the direct personal supervision of a QMHP-Adult providing services to individuals with mental illness and at least one year of experience (including the 12 weeks of supervised experience).
